James M. Ottley is a real estate lending attorney and mediator. Mr. Ottley manages the firm’s government-guaranteed lending practice and the alternative dispute resolution group. Mr. Ottley is a Registered Neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.
Mediation Practice: Mr. Ottley mediates a broad range of business disputes in both pre-litigation mediations and court-ordered mediations. Mr. Ottley is on the Cobb County ADR Program’s list of Registered Neutrals as well as the Ninth Judicial Administration District ADR Program’s list. Mr. Ottley is an active volunteer with the Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire where he provides pro-bono mediation services.
Real Estate Lending Practice: Mr. Ottley represents bank on nonbank lenders in conventional and government-guaranteed loan transactions. Mr. Ottley’s clients range from community banks to national banks to insurance companies. Mr. Ottley also provides title services through the firm’s in-house title agency, Precision Title & Escrow, LLC. Mr. Ottley and his team have a combined experience of over 60 years in the area of closing commercial real estate loans. Mr. Ottley also closes commercial real estate and business acquisition transactions independent of his lending practice. Prior to his current position, Mr. Ottley founded the government-guaranteed lending group at Cohn, Fyvolent & Shaver, LLC and was an officer of its in-house title agency. Prior to Cohn, Fyvolent & Shaver, LLC, Mr. Ottley was of counsel to Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP in Atlanta for 11 years where he specialized in commercial real estate lending law and foreclosure law.
